Hi, thanks for watching and your comment. Hope to be out a lot more now. HH. Mal
Hello malc great channel hope your well, if you ever along Bournemouth beach and find a silver wedding ring please let me know 😢
Hi, thanks for watching and your comment. As for the ring there are many detectorists that search that beach now every day and its ages since I have been down due to ill health :( But if I do I will let you know. HH. Mal
Glad to see you back Mal. Onwards and upwards 👍
Hi David, thanks for watching and your comment. HH. Mal
Hi Mal. So good to see you back in the fields mate. Looking forward to getting on the Romans soon. Take care. 👍
Hi Paul, Thanks for watching and your comment. Yep good to be back out and in the fresh air and nature. It's been a bad 12 months so hopefully now over most of it and get out more regularly now. Romans fields still long way to go as bean and barley still green in patches. HH. Mal
Best wishes and happy hunting out there from up in Lancashire.
Hi DD, thanks for watching and your comment. I lived in Chorley for many years before moving dan sath :) HH. Mal
Good to see you out again Mal, its been a while, good health and all the best.
Hi Muirton, thanks for watching and your comment. Yep glad to be back out and looking forward to the harvest. HH. Mal
@@malcolmpotter I was out on a stubble field yesterday first of the season, it was out at Errol next to the old 2nd world war aerodrome, ground was a bit hard though.
Hi Mal, I have found a few of these metal horse nose bands over the years. Normally one half but the odd complete one. Makers info runs over both parts. Hinge is to allow it to flex. Should have a knob on each end to allow straps or chains to attach. Searching the internet will bring results about the maker who produced them. Hope that helps👍
As said the maker is no longer in business as sold out years ago to another company. I contacted them but they have no records. Do you have any links to details on the nose bands?
Great to see you back out there 😊
Hi thanks for watching and your comment. HH. Mal
Hinge object is a horse nose guard with makers info
Hi Simon, thanks for watching and your comment. Interesting and could you point me in the direction of the info. The company Websters were local agricultural equipment manufacturers. HH. Mal
Good luck in your further search and may God give you strength!
Hi Mo, thanks for watching and your kind comment. HH. Mal
Good to see you back out Mal. Wish you well, good luck 🤞
Hi Tom, thanks for watching and your kind comment. HH. Mal
Glad you are improving and feeling well enough to get back ‘out there’. 😊 See you again soon.
Hi Alan, thanks for watching and your kind comment. Was going out this morning and typical it was raining :( HH. Mal
Good to see you back Mal, don't over do it.
Hi Peter, thanks for watching and your comment. Yep taking it easy and getting over the shock of it and how it floored me. HH. Mal
Great to see you back out and feeling better, nice little hunt bud aĺ the best fubar
Hi Fubar, thanks for watching and your kind comment. Going to try another few hours in same field but grass has grown a bit more :( HH. Mal
As you say Mal,not a bad hunt, and the weather was good, haven't been out for ages myself(shoulder),but one day soon I'm going to go out and see what happens,I hope it is onwards and upwards for you now😃
Hi Ronnie, thanks for watching and your comment. I had my shoulder fixed last year and slowly they are rebuilding me :) Hip and knee next :) HH. Mal
Great to see you back out again Mal.😀
Hi thanks for watching and your comment. HH. Mal
Great to see you back on YT, if not detecting here and there! Prioritise your health, do as you’re told and you’ll be back I’m sure. All the very best.
Hi Alan and thanks for your comment. Not having the best year health wise but getting there. I'm resting up ready for the harvest fields becoming available again. HH. Mal
Hey Mal! cheers bro! Sweet video! Love your style.. Nice music intro :) Big support from your new friends and followers from southern Europe.. metal detecting couple.. ) Cheers!
Hi, thanks for watching and your kind comment. HH. Mal
Sweet romans.. did you saw our roman video?
nox 800 rulez!
You strap your detector to your waist ?
Hi, thanks for watching and your comment. Yes as I have mounted it on my detecting vest by using a 300mm long piece of plastic conduit. All the weight gone as just the shaft and the coil to swing. HH. Mal
Hi Mal. I struggle with carpel tunnel and have had issues with upper arm. Would the S stem be better for me? I have a Equinox 800 and have been using the stem it came with but needs replacing . Hoping the lighter stem will help. Straight or S stem?" Also your handle is padded out, I struggle with grip to. Would padding it out help? Huge thanks Philip
Hi Philip thanks for watching and your comment. The s-stem gives you a better balance as it moves the fulcrum so less pressure on your wrist. I am the same with the grip due to arthritis so I padded the grip with a dishcloth then over wrapped it with self amalgamating rubber tape. Gives a more comfortable grip plus the tape is slightly tacky and eases the pressure need to hold it. I have done this for years with all my detectors :) HH. Mal
@@malcolmpotter hi Mal, thank you for replying and answering my question. Regards Phil
LOVR the shaft . Thanks fur sharing my friend, New Sub.
Hi www, thanks for watching and your comment plus the sub :) HH. Mal
Are you doing anymore videos we miss you🌞
Hi Linda, thanks for watching and your kind comment. Yes I will be back doing more videos. had a big health scare last year but sorted now finger crossed with three stents fitted. Getting fit and waiting for the crops now :) HH. Mal
Excellent video I have just found a thimble thanks for showing us how to restore one
Thanks for watching and your comment. HH. Mal

Wouldn't let me download it :(
@@malcolmpotter weird phones who needs them lol
Good review Mal.Cheers.
Hi Gary, thanks for watching and your kind comment. You getting up this way this year :) HH. Mal
Wish I could get a permission, neuro condition rapidly progressing don’t think I’ll be able to do it in 1-2 years.
Hi, thanks for watching and your comment. Perseverance is the key and importantly trust when you get one. All mine are from personal referrals and one thing that landowners hate is people constantly knocking on their doors asking for permission as they don't know them from Adam and many have bad experiences from the door knocking detectorist. All my landowners reject and give short shrift to them. HH. Mal
Glad you are out on the fields mate.
Cant do more than two hours due to health issues but building my stamina back up :)
Great vid! It was incredibly windy when I visited South Stack last year. saw my first ever Choughs this year on the west coast of beautiful Anglesey.
yep beautiful place and need to get back there. Found a great camp site not far away :)
Hey Mal, have a good at metal detecting in Benson, Oxfordshire!

Awesome work Mal
God Bless You! So glad to see you back Mal. Watching you metal detect in England has soothed my soul after many hard hard days, and always made me smile on good days and bad.
Hi Garry, thanks you for your kind comment and for watching. HH. Mal
New front facia £44 includes push pads best option they fail eventually dependant on amount of use.
Hi, thanks for watching and your comment. Yep lots of use hence the buttons which are a very cheap fix :) HH. Mla
Does this fit the original shaft?👍🏻
Hi, thanks for watching and your comment. Yes its a direct replacement arm cup for the original shaft. HH. Mal
Glad to hear that you got successful heart treatment and are raring to go again Mal👍
Hi Ronnie, thanks for watching and your kind comment. Nearly didn't make it no thanks to a certain hospital in the NHS. If it wasn't for one doctor at another hospital I doubt if I would be relpying to you :( HH. Mal
Sorry to hear about you having health problems. So glad you are feeling up to detecting again. 👍
Hi, thanks for watching and your kind comment. HH. Mal

So good to see you back buddy 🤘🤘
Good for the soul to get back out. Out with the camera as well for wildlife taking gentle strolls under instructions :) HH. Mal
@malcolmpotter best way m8 ,I had a month off work over Xmas, I tore my meniscus in my knee and the pain was getting passed the Tramadol I am on for my back ,just wish this rain would stop as we can't get on our land as its water logged,
Snap pun intended :). I was just getting ready to go to theatre last November to get my complex tear of the medial meniscus fixed when they cancelled due to my heart issues :( Going to see them again next week. I gave up on pain killers as had no effect so doing physio which helps greatly.
@malcolmpotter they said mine was only a small tare ,hate to think what a big tare feels like ,went back to work and it's slowly getting better ,our PE staff said to get on a exercise bike and it will heal faster
My right knee has been done twice now and this complex tear is near the hook and in three directions hence called a complex tear. If your lucky yours is in the bit that can actually heal itself but unfortunately mine goes into the bit that has no blood supply so cant heal :(
Welcome back Mal and glad to hear you on the mend, I also haven't been out for a while for other reasons but looking forward to getting back out with maybe some new permissions. GL for your next outing and i'll see you on there 😀👍👋 Take care. Tony
Hi, Tony, thanks for watching and your kind comment. HH. Mal
Good to see you back Mal, hope you are doing well, not a bad wee haul there, silver always a bonus.....all the best.
Hi, Tony, thanks for watching and your kind comment. wish this bloody rain would go away :) HH. Mal
@@malcolmpotter Been horrendous up here in Perth, barely a weekend without rain, got some cracking new permissions but struggling to take advantage of it, roll on the summer.
If Perth summers are like Inverness ones its 360 days of rain and five days of snow. Every leap year we get a day of sun :)
